Lima, 11th August 2016. – Dufry celebrates the inauguration of its newly refurbished Lima Duty Free stores at Jorge Chávez International Airport. The remodeling of the stores forms part of the Company’s global plan to offer all Dufry customers a WorldClass experience.

Each space which Dufry operates is created to align itself with the culture and unique features of the city in which it is located. With its ‘walk through’ format, Lima Duty Free leads passengers into the curved and faceted space which offers a complex mix of reflections and images, representing the dynamic and changing character of the city of Lima.

The ceiling and floor create a flow through the store, giving a feeling of a large commercial space. The Lima Duty Free stores offer customers a fantastic selection of products at attractive prices across the traditional travel retail categories, as well as a wide range of watches, leather goods, sunglasses and other items, especially selected for the passenger profile which travels through this airport. The new commercial offer boasts 15 new brands, including Tom Ford, Givenchy Make Up, Urban Decay, Viktor & Rolf, Giorgio Armani Make Up and Polaroid, seven of which are not currently available in the local market.

Additionally, passengers will find a unique area dedicated to “Thinking Peru”, the design of which is based on elements and materials inherent to the Peruvian culture. The objective is to create a space that gives the passenger a strong sense of place and local identity. A colorful lattice across the ceiling completes this special environment, bringing to mind the traditional Peruvian fabric that greets the millions of tourists who visit Peru and evoking the same warmth and hospitality which the locals are famous for.

Visitors can find the perfect souvenir to remember Peru by in this area, from a bottle of Pisco produced by one of the most distinguished distilleries in the country, such as Pisco La Blanco or 4 Gallos, to chocolate produced from the famous Peruvian cacao, delicious turrones and world-renowned alfajores.
