London, 26th October 2017. - An exclusive single cask bottling of Highland Park Single Malt Whisky has been launched at London Gatwick, to celebrate the opening of the new World Duty Free store in the airport’s North terminal. This extremely limited edition of just 540 bottles is only available in the World Duty Free store and its launch was marked with tasting and educational activities, led by Highland Park brand ambassador David Francis who also signed bottles for customers. A live Twitter tasting and Q&A with David on World Duy Free’s Twitter feed also helped open up the launch to a wider community of Highland Park fans and whisky afficianados.

Following an initial period of exclusivity in the North Terminal stores, any remaining stock will also be made available in the World Duty Free store in Gatwick South from 1st December.

The 12-year-old Highland Park Single Cask Edition for London Gatwick and World Duty Free is drawn from an ex-sherry refill butt made from Spanish Oak. The whisky has a sweet vanilla and light smoky aroma combined with hints of orange peel and oaky notes on the palate. It was bottled at cask strength: 66.4% ABV.
