Dufry and Estée Lauder Group are proud to unveil the new La Mer boutique in Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport Terminal 2, which welcomes 37 million passengers annually*. This boutique is a new space for Dufry, following the contract award in February this year.

As one of the most coveted global luxury brands, La Mer has chosen Shanghai, “The Pearl of the East”, for its first stand-alone store in China’s duty-paid travel retail channel.

With the creation of this dedicated boutique in a 54 m² space, Dufry and La Mer offer travelers an immersive, luxurious experience with the brand’s extensive range of skincare, body care and color cosmetics. Passengers are invited to try La Mer’s iconic products, with dedicated brand advisors offering make up lessons and body care advice including hand massages, as well as tailored skincare consultations to advise passengers on how best to care for their skin when at home and while travelling. The consultations are supported by digital tools, developed to give detailed insights into each skin type.

Present in Shanghai Hongqiao Airport since 2008, Dufry currently operates Hermes, Cartier, Montblanc and Tod’s luxury boutiques.  The addition of La Mer further underlines Dufry’s expansion plan ambitions for travel retail China.

Freda Cheung, President & CEO APAC at Dufry, commented: “Asia Pacific is a key growth region for Dufry, and part of the geographical expansion named as one of the four pillars of our exciting Destination 2027 strategy to revolutionize the travel experience.
