Avolta continues to invest in Autogrill Motorway business, opening a new Eataly store in Dorno, on the A7
Avolta continues its path of investments on the Italian motorway channel through Autogrill, opening a new Eataly brand store today inside the historic bridge building in Dorno, along the A7 Milan Serravalle, Italy. Following the earlier success of Eataly’s collaboration with the Autogrill Motorway business in Secchia Ovest in 2016, the partnership continues with a focus on strategic and heavily trafficked locations, offering travelers space to pause and experience quality food & beverages in an authentic setting.
“The opening of the new Eataly-branded Autogrill restaurant in Dorno is in continuity with our strategy of expansion and penetration in the territory, also strengthened by our new identity, as part of Avolta”, commented Massimiliano Santoro, CEO Italy F&B of Avolta, “We are moving along the path designed by the Destination 2027 plan and Italy remains strategic, with over 800 stores. The objective is to strengthen our presence on the national territory where we plan to expand in all travel channels, including the motorway channel which remains central for us. Another equally important objective is the satisfaction of the end customer, which is why we will continue to innovate in the direction of new products, new brands and new concepts, internal and external".
The project created by Eataly for the historic bridge building in Dorno reinterprets the space through attention to layout and design where, in a single environment, there is a place capable of best connecting the restaurant, quick service and market. Inside the space, the perimeter glass surfaces provide natural light and the choice of warm materials, natural tones and soft lights make the stop even more comfortable. The open kitchens maintain Eataly's vocation of being a place where production processes take place live before the eyes of customers. The restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, has 170 seats and table service and includes a complete menu ranging from appetizers to desserts, including pizza cooked in a wood oven. The market area is the ideal place to buy a selection of products such as pasta, sauces, rice, breadsticks, taralli, biscuits, chocolate, jams, cosmetics and small household items. The new store follows the design and functionality that Eataly has expressed in the latest stores opened in North America (Eataly Sherway Gardens in Toronto and Eataly SoHo in New York).
