Eugenio Andrades’ Legacy will serve as an umbrella to initiatives connected with children with neurological disabilities and provide guardianship for selected projects to ensure a comprehensive and sustained impact. The first projects are set to begin in Spain, Eugenio’s homeland, in collaboration with Fundación Deporte y Desafío [Sport and Challenge], Fundación Cadete and Fundación Bobath. The objective of the three projects is to promote the comprehensive development of children and young people with special needs, especially those with neurological diseases, through sport – promoting inclusion, effort and perseverance – as well as providing them with support in their treatments.

Camillo Rossotto, Avolta’s Chief ESG and Public Affairs Officer, will lead this initiative as part of our broader Global Community Engagement Strategy. Paula Dávila, physiotherapist specialized in neurological pathology and caring for people with special needs, will play a crucial advisory role. As Eugenio’s wife, Paula is dedicated to continuing his vision for a more inclusive world, ensuring his legacy thrives.

Xavier Rossinyol, Avolta’s CEO, said: "In memory of Eugenio Andrades, a cherished colleague, mentor to many and friend to countless at Avolta and the wider travel industry, we announce the launch of Eugenio Andrades’ Legacy. We remember with great fondness the man who loved his wife, his family, his job, tennis and Star Wars. With this initiative we pay tribute to his values and personality, striving to create lasting change for children with neurological disabilities, continuing Eugenio’s legacy of kindness and commitment. We cannot think of a better way to honor this extraordinary person who is deeply missed."

As well as being a tribute to Eugenio’s life and values, Eugenio Andrades’ Legacy is synonymous with Avolta’s commitment to making a significant and positive difference in the lives of those who need it most. This initiative ties directly into one of the focus areas of Avolta's Global Community Engagement Strategy: Supporting healthcare for individuals with special needs through fundraising for medical care and rare disease research.
