Dufry wins two Sunglasses Vision 2020 Awards
Dufry was delighted to be recognised in two categories in the 2019 awards ceremony
Dufry was delighted to win in two categories of this year's Sunglasses Vision 2020 Awards: 'Best Dedicated Sunglasses Sales Team' for its team at Zurich Airport and 'Best Marketing Activity: On-Airport'.
The awards ceremony was held on 1st October in Cannes during the annual workshop held during the TFWA World Exhibition and Conference.
The Sunglasses Workshop & Awards are a category initiative, which the organisers explain "reward excellence in sunglasses retail, shining the spotlight on the most progressive travel retailers in one of the channel’s consistently fastest-growing categories".
The awards are co-sponsored and judged by leading sunglasses suppliers De Rigo, Essilor, Kering Eyewear, Luxottica, Marchon, Marcolin, Maui Jim and Safilo.
New for the 2019 Awards, each retailer was allowed to enter only one submission per award category (i.e. you can enter all categories, but only once per category). Also, as per last year, the previous year's winners will not be able to win the same award category in consecutive years.
As winner of the top retailer award in 2018, “Sunglasses Retailer of the Year (Turnover Over US$2 billion)”, this year Dufry was invited to pass the baton to the 2019 winner.
