Dufry brings Desigual to RIOgaleão Airport
Dufry introduced the Spanish leading fashion brand Desigual in RIOgaleão airport in two different locations across the international departures area of Terminal 2, complementing Dufry’s extensive fashion offer at the airport.
Rio de Janeiro, 12th July 2017. – Dufry in partnership with Desigual has opened two new locations across Terminal 2 RIOgaleão International Airport. A permanent 23m2 shop-in-shop, featuring Desigual ready-to-wear and accessories collections, as well as several Travel Retail Exclusive items, are presented in a dedicated multi-brand shop for fashion.
Dufry and Desigual have also partnered to open a temporary pop-up store in Terminal 2. The 63m2 of retail space features the Desigual collection alongside a sunglasses department. The pop-up store will be present through to October 2017.
Desigual’s presence forms part of Dufry’s expanded fashion offer at Rio, in a multi-brand environment with brands such as Lacoste, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, and alongside standalone stores for Polo Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Salvatore Ferragamo and Hugo Boss.
The Dufry-Desigual partnership is celebrating its success with the expansion into their second airport in Brazil, building on a two-year presence in both standalone store and multi-brand shop-in-shop formats at GRU Airport, in São Paulo.
Dufry currently operates a total of 13 Desigual stores in Latin America, including Cancun, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Punta Del Este, Montevideo and Santiago Airports.
