Dufry is delighted to announce that it has opened its latest Longchamp boutique at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) in partnership with the iconic brand. It is the first duty-free boutique worldwide to feature the popular Longchamp personalization station. This gives customers the opportunity to differentiate their products by making them unique, with the addition of their own initials. The store located in the East Hall of Terminal 1 Departures, started trading on 25 July 2018.
Longchamp handbag, luggage and accessories are renowned for their artisanship, French elegance and creativity, with 70 years of fine leather craftsmanship. Harmonizing both the traditional and modern elegance of Longchamp, the collections are presented in a contemporary setting with warm colors that exude a spirit of modernity and femininity. The boutique’s façade displays the brand’s visual identity with hues of white, pearl, and champagne played against marble and wood textures with brushed brass and warm leather accents. The beauty of the chosen materials attest to Longchamp's attention to detail. Inside, the displays echo the boutique’s exterior, offering the latest in women’s handbags and accessories, including Longchamp’s latest eyewear range.
Coral Clavero, Global Head of Luxury at Dufry, comments, “The HKIA store will be the first duty-free point of sale worldwide to offer the personalization service with the hot stamping machine, and premium product lines, including an exclusive selection of items. Dufry values its strong partnership with Longchamp, which has been built on the basis of mutual trust and the satisfaction of a well done job in the industry. This enduring and collaborative partnership goes back over 15 years and accounts for a distribution network of over 25 points of sale, geographically spread around the world.”
“Airport locations have played a significant role in the history of Longchamp both as a point of departure and one of growth”, notes Jean Cassegrain, Longchamp’s CEO. “This new boutique in the central hub that is the Hong Kong Airport is an opportunity to connect with our clientele from around the world while paying tribute to our origins. We are happy to be growing our network in Hong Kong and strengthening the ties between our home, Paris and Hong Kong, two cities overflowing with energy and creativity.”
