    Dufry signs a new contract increasing its presence at Mexico City Airport

    Dufry has signed a new contract with Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México (AICM) to operate 3 new duty-free shops with 1,400 m² in the Terminal 2 at Benito Juárez International Airport, well-known as Mexico City International Airport. With the new contract, Dufry will manage a total retail space of almost 7,400 m², reinforcing its presence in Mexico.

    Dufry to be entitled to reclaim tax payments in Brazil

    Dufry has been notified that a decision of the Federal Court in Rio de Janeiro in a lawsuit between one of our Brazilian subsidiaries and the Brazilian tax authority became final and non-appealable. Based on this decision, Dufry shall be entitled to reclaim tax payments made in prior years. The exact amount of the tax reclaim, effects that may fully or partially set off the tax reclaim, the timing of the actual recovery of the amount and the financial impact of the decision going forward are currently being evaluated.

    Dufry announces that the Board of Directors of AENA SME S.A. has decided to extend Dufry's current concession contract to operate duty-free shops at 25 Spanish airports for up to five more years.

    Dufry signs new contract and expands its operations in Florianópolis International Airport

    Dufry, the global leader in travel retail, has signed a new contract to expand its presence at the Florianópolis International Airport, managed by Flughafen Zürich AG. The new contract includes two duty-free and one duty-paid shop totaling 650 m2 of additional sales space in the new airport terminal, which will be opened in October 2019.

    Dufry opens first border duty-free shop in Brazil

    Dufry officially opened yesterday its first Brazil duty-free border shop with a retail space of 850 m2. The shop offers an assortment of prestige international brands similar to those seen in Dufry's airport shops around the world. Uruguaiana is one of the most important cities in the South of Brazil, at the border to Argentina.

    Dufry reports ongoing improvement in organic growth and resilient cash generation in the first half of 2019

    Dufry posted steady turnover in the first half of 2019 reaching CHF 4,180.1 million driven by organic growth of 2.2%. Growth accelerated in the second quarter, propelled by improved like-for-like performance with the trend continuing in the first weeks of July. Adjusted operating cash flow was CHF 409.0 million. Dufry confirms the Equity Free Cash Flow target of CHF 350-400 million for the full-year 2019 and the medium term organic growth target of 3% to 4%.

    Dufry signs 7 year contract to operate specialty stores at Helsinki Airport

    Dufry has signed a seven year contract with Finavia to operate seven new luxury and premium retail shops at Helsinki Airport. A total of 700 m² of retail space will be added in both the Schengen and Non Schengen areas of the airport. This contract further strengthens Dufry's position at Helsinki airport, where it will continue to operate its three main tax and duty free stores and several specialty units, occupying a total of nearly 4,000 m².

    Dufry acquires RegStaer Vnukovo

    Dufry, through its Russian Joint Venture established in 2012, has reached an agreement to acquire a 60% stake of RegStaer Vnukovo. RegStaer Vnukovo generated a sales volume of EUR 58.8 million at Vnukovo airport in FY 2018 and operates duty-free and duty-paid shops in one of the three most important airports in Moscow, Russia, which handles around 22 million passengers per year. The acquisition of RegStaer Vnukovo will allow Dufry to significantly increase its presence at the Moscow airports, already present at Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo, and to further consolidate its position in Russia in addition to the existing operations in St. Petersburg, Sochi and Krasnodar, thus fostering its ongoing growth strategy.

    Dufry starts positively and accelerates organic growth in the first quarter 2019

    Dufry posted a positive start in 2019 with turnover in the first quarter reaching CHF 1,882.6 million, driven by organic growth of 2.0%. Gross profit margin further improved and reached 60.3%. Adjusted operating cash flow amounted to CHF 159.3 million.

    The Ordinary General Meeting of Dufry AG was held at VOLKSHAUS BASEL (Festsaal), Rebgasse 12–14, 4058 Basel, Switzerland, on May 9, 2019 at 14.00 hrs. The meeting was validly convened and constituted and shareholders duly registered in the share register of the Company representing 34,531,480 shares and 64.10% of the total share capital of Dufry AG were represented at the meeting.
