Mexico City, 4th July 2017. – Dufry runs almost 30 shops at Benito Juárez International Airport, better known as Mexico City International Airport. From general travel retail shops to brand boutiques, and specialty shops to convenience stores, there is everything in store to make the customers’ hearts beat faster.

To make the offer even more exciting, Dufry opened a new additional duty-free shop at Terminal 2 in July. The main general store is located in the international departures hall. Covering a retail space of 400 m2 it offers a wide assortment of perfumes, beverages, food, tobacco and luxury accessories and has a variety of local products such as fine tequila and mezcal, natural vanilla, Mexican chocolate, hot sauces and gourmet coffee.

Mexico City Airport is the busiest airport in Latin America, with 41 million passengers in 2016 (14 million international). Terminal 2 started operations in 2007 and its importance is crucial as Mexico’s largest airline (AeroMexico) operates its flights from there.

Dufry has been operating in Mexico for 21 years with a strong presence in eleven airports and a consolidated leadership in the travel retail business.
