Dufry was awarded the concession agreement at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Kenya
Download Press ReleaseOn October 15, 2014, Dufry and Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) signed a concession agreement for development and management of Duty Free Retail Services under a single master license at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport until 2024.
Based on the agreement awarded in a tender, Dufry will operate in excess of 751 square meters retail space which includes among other shop concepts duty free stores.
The commercial area will be located at the departure in the newly opened Terminal 1A. The new retail space will allow Dufry to offer a comprehensive range of products, and offer its clients a unique shopping experience with additional international and local bestselling brands especially in the tobacco, spirits, fine food, perfume & cosmetics, fashion and accessories assortment.
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is located in the capital of Kenya and is the largest airport in the East and Central African region and a major hub for Africa. In 2013, the airport welcomed a total of 6 million passengers.
